VOLLEYBALL TRAINING FOR YOUTH ATHLETES (AGES 5-8)
Program Details
JJVA’s signature VolleyStars is a program designed to teach boys and girls motor skills, sports, and volleyball skills. VolleyStars will provide your daughter or son with the physical exercise and motor skills necessary to develop agility, stamina, balance, discipline, eye tracking, focus, attention, and the joy of movement. In addition, participants will learn the basic skills and game patterns of the great sport of volleyball.
**Parents are welcome to attend and watch all training sessions and tournaments. However, parents will not be allowed onto the courts at any time, and “parent coaching” from the bleachers will not be tolerated. In addition, this program is designed to help promote and introduce athletes to the sport of volleyball. Our coaching staff is focused on player development with the goal of players learning to play volleyball with three contacts.
Ages
Ages: 5-8
Our teaching format is simple and very effective for learning:
- Learn a skill, PLAY, learn a skill, PLAY, repeat! The kids love staying active, and our coaches enjoy teaching through guided discovery, which is great for long-term athletic development.
- We play 2 on 2 to create more opportunities for maximum contacts on mini-sized courts with a lower net and a lighter ball.

VolleyStars Coaches
Coaches: VolleyStars will be led by our highly experienced adult coaches and assisted by Junior Coaches (club players ages 12-18 years old) to help create more contacts, provide great on-court feedback, and serve as role models and mentors.
Practices
Practices will occur on Friday evenings from 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM.
Cost
Program Cost: $99 Per Session (Includes all practices within the training session)
