Part-Time Sports Social Media Position
Job Title: Part-Time Sports Social Media
Position Type: Part-Time or Internship
Schedule: Select nights and weekends (10-15 Hours/Wk)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Sports Social Media role to join our team part-time. This position offers hands-on experience in the sports industry and is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build their portfolio and social media expertise. This social media role will work select nights and weekends, covering live games, team updates, and events, helping us engage our community with dynamic and engaging content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Capture, edit, and post real-time updates, photos, and videos during live events, games, and team activities.
- Social Media Management: Assist in managing social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.), including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement.
- Engagement: Respond to comments and messages, engaging with fans and followers in a professional, timely manner.
- Analytics: Track social media performance and assist with preparing reports on follower growth, engagement rates, and trending content.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with coaches, athletes, and other interns to create content that aligns with the brand’s tone and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and passion for sports, with an understanding of major platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently during events, capturing the best content for fans.
- Availability to work select nights and weekends, especially during games and events.
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communication, Sports Management, Journalism, or a related field.
