JJVA Mini Club
At JJVA, we believe that every player has the potential to shine, and we are dedicated to nurturing that potential through our exceptional youth volleyball training in Jacksonville and an unparalleled coaching staff. Our JJVA Mini Club program is committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment where players can develop their technical skills and passion for the game.
The Mini Club Volleyball Jacksonville program is designed for players aged 10 to 16, running from August through October. Coached by our experienced Travel and Club Program coaches, athletes will build volleyball technique development in Jacksonville in a fun, yet competitive atmosphere. Local volleyball competitions in Jacksonville and a season championship are included in the Mini Club season, with tournaments consisting of one-day local events.
Our Girls Volleyball Development Jacksonville curriculum is tailored to the unique needs of young athletes, enhancing skills in serving, passing, setting, spiking, and all aspects of the game. Our skilled coaches use innovative training methods and cutting-edge techniques, offering personalized attention and constructive feedback to help unlock players’ full potential.
2024-25 Parent Information
Parents: Parents are welcome to attend and watch all training sessions and tournaments. However, parents will not be allowed onto the courts at any time, and “parent coaching” from the bleachers will not be tolerated.
This program is designed to promote and introduce young athletes to the sport of volleyball. The coaching staff focuses on player development, to teach players to play with three contacts. Therefore, many of our games are not focused on the score or outcome, but on developing volleyball skills and techniques.

Practice Schedule
Mini Club practices will be held on scheduled Monday & Wednesday evenings. All practice dates and times are subject to change. Practices will occur at the JJVA Indoor Training Facility located at 8457 Western Way, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

Absence Notification
If you plan to be absent from a practice or game, please submit the impending absence form to your coach BEFORE the scheduled absence.

Important Tournament Information
USAV Rules will be used for all divisions, with the following exceptions for 10 & Under:
- The server may move up to 1/2 court for their first underhand serve. For their second consecutive serve, they must move behind a 6-foot step in the serving line.
- All overhand serves must be from behind the 6-foot step in the line.
Liberos do not have to wear an official jersey but must wear a contrasting color shirt, such as a practice shirt or an old jersey.
